Kathryn + Brian | Mojave Desert, California

Kathryn didn’t even know me, but she and her husband Brian opened up their home to my family and me during our cross country trip when they heard we needed a place to stay. They live in a small town in the middle of the Mojave desert. While my sister and dad went off to do their own thing, I did a session for them as a thank you for their hospitality and got to know more about them and their little town. Kathryn and Brian met through theatre. Her mom and his uncle were in theatre when they were young so both families grew close. They became friends, but it was a while before any other interest sparked. Brian fell in love first and Kathryn wasn’t so sure after coming out of a relationship. But despite the long journey to get there, they are now married and living in their home that holds all the memories. I love learning about the adventures of other’s and without that crazy trip across the US, I wouldn’t have had the great opportunity to meet these two and gain more friends. So thankful!
